CIDERLAND by James Crowden
Meet the West County’s cider makers in this informative read. A great introduction to the world of South West England’s traditional West County cider culture, with numerous in-depth profiles of the regions cider makers.
“Ciderland includes comprehensive summaries and descriptions of every cider and cider producer in the West Country and covers topics such as cider folk traditions and remedies, placing cider making firmly within the local culture. Photographs by Claire Lloyd Davies.”
An excellent book. Really sparked my interest in craft cider and helped me understand the West Country cidermaking tradition.

Patrick, it’s worth getting the print version. The photography is great! It’s like a coffee table book, but more affordable because it’s not a hardcover.

Don’t think it’s available via ebook, and as Eric West/Cider Guide mentions below, Ciderland is full of charming color photographs, softcover and good value. It’s a solid West Country cider culture reference book to have on hand.
